Requirement to carry chains cancelled from 20 September

The requirement to carry chains to Mount Buffalo has been lifted as of 4 pm Thursday 20th September. We will advise if this changes. 

SNOW CAMPING AT LAKE CATANI ENDED 31ST AUGUST

The last day of snow/winter camping at lake Catani camping ground was Friday 31st August - the camping ground will reopen on November long weekend and be open through to the end of April


STILL GOOD SNOWPLAY AT MOUNT BUFFALO

With 10 cm of spring snow at Dingo Dell and 20 cm at Cresta valley, Mount Buffalo is still providing fun sightseeing snow, snow play, tobogganing and even some limited cross country skiing.  - free entry and no charges to park or to access the slopes (Remember to carry chains - fit as directed, and to bring your winter woollies plus sunscreen).

Dingo Dell Cafe and day shelter is open 10 am to 4 pm Mondays and Tuesdays and 10 am to 5 pm Wednesdays to Sundays during the snow season (while we still have snow for tobogganing)

ROCK CLIMBING

Mount Buffalo has some of the best granite climbing in Australia including world class multi day "aid" climbs on the famous "North Wall".

There are numerous climbing areas scattered around the plateau and having a whole crag for your groups personal use is common
