Dingo Dell

During winter Dingo Dell is an ideal place to experience snow for the first time ... or to return each year as a seasoned tobogganist for more long runs and speed thrills. Build a snowman, have a snowball fight, slide your way down the slopes, take a short walk through the snow to Dingo Dell Lookout, learn to cross-country ski, or just relax and watch everyone else. The Dingo Dell Cafe and Day Visitor Centre offer warm shelter, toilets and hot snacks.

Cresta Valley

Cresta Valley's wide open spaces become a popular cross-country skiing network of trails during winter. There's plenty of car parking, no trail fees and free mountain entry. Hop in the car and drive the short distance back to Dingo Dell for a hot chocolate and snack, or just to warm up! Cresta Valley also has heaps of areas for snow play and tobogganing, snowshoe hikes and snow hiking.

Snow Chains

During the declared snow season chains are required to drive up Mount Buffalo for most of the main snow season Mid June to Early September. During the early parts of the winter (Early to mid-June) when there is no snow as yet, the requirement to carry chains may be relaxed - also in mid to late September if the snow season finishes early at Buffalo.
