A favourite location for many photographers, Mount Buffalo offers a unique visual feast of massive granite boulders, alpine fauna, views of high country peaks, waterfalls, sunrises, sunsets and more.
The Gorge Precinct is a accessible location for spectacular sunrises, while the Horn and Horn car park are among the best locations to watch the sunset. Other great photo locations are the Cathedral / Hump, the Dingo Dell Lookout and The Monolith.
Mount Buffalo's spectacular waterfalls and swimming holes are also the subject of photography by visitors, with their crystal clear waters and colourful granite boulders especially pretty on clear days.
Winter photography opportunities include icicles on road side cliffs, snow-capped granite boulders and peaks, ice covered snow gums and action shots of all the visitors at snowplay and skiing. The Chalet and Gorge Precinct is particularly striking after recent snowfall.
