There are not always rangers on duty on the mountain. For minor issues check the Ranger Office on the Mount Buffalo Road opposite the Monolith walk car park.

Mobile network coverage

Some areas of the Mount Buffalo plateau are remote and offer no mobile phone reception, even if you are with Telstra. If you are venturing off the beaten track, consider carrying a personal locator beacon (PLB) or two way satellite communicator such as a Garmin InReach GPS.
