An iconic Mount Buffalo destination for generations of High Country locals and city visitors, Dingo Dell has given thousands of children (and grown ups!) their first snow experience, tobogganing, snowman-making and everybody's favourite - the snowball fight. In the warmer months take the short walk up the toboggan slopes to the Dingo Dell Lookout to be rewarded with quintessential Mount Buffalo views across the plateau.

Snow Season Activities

With wide open spaces and a good amount of snowfall during winter it's easy to see why Dingo Dell has been a popular winter playground for generations of local and visiting families.

  • Make the biggest snowman ever!
  • Walk up to the Dingo Dell Lookout
  • Have a snowball fight

There's no entry fee for Mount Buffalo or to access the Dingo Dell snowplay area. Parking is easy and there are toilets including a disabled toilet.

Parking

There is limited parking for 5-6 cars directly outside the Cafe & Visitor Centre (a disabled parking bay is available) but plenty of additional parking on the side of the access road (facing back to the main road) and even more parking on the Mount Buffalo Road at the large parking area.
